Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- Ephesians 6:17
God's timing is best. Be Patient and Trust Him.

Today I want us to consider the idea that God’s timing is best. He knows exactly what He is doing and when He is doing it. As we consider this important truth, I want to tell you a humorous story that I heard.
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who had been waiting all day to go to the park. She was so excited that she could hardly contain herself. Finally, when it was time to go, her mother said, “Honey, we can’t go to the park right now.
We have to wait for your father to get home from work.” The little girl was very disappointed. She thought to herself, “Why can’t we just go without him?” But then she remembered that her mother had told her that it was important to wait for her father and that it was his decision. So, she waited patiently.
When her father arrived home, he had some exciting news. He had been promoted at work and he was taking the family out to celebrate. The little girl was thrilled! She realized that if she had not waited for her father, she would have missed out on such a wonderful surprise!
My friends, this story illustrates an important truth: God’s timing is best. We must learn to wait patiently for Him and trust in His plan. To help us understand this better, let’s explore three key points.
First, we should remember that God’s timing is perfect. In Psalm 90:4, the Bible tells us “A thousand years in your sight are but an evening gone.” This reminds us that God is not bound by the same constraints of time that we are. He knows what the future holds and He is working out His plan in His own perfect timing.
Second, we should trust in God’s sovereignty. In Romans 8:28, the Bible tells us that “all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose.” This verse is a reminder that no matter what our circumstances may be, we can trust in God’s perfect wisdom and sovereign plan.
Third, we should be faithful in our waiting. In Lamentations 3:25-26, the Bible tells us that “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” This verse encourages us to faithfully wait on the Lord and be filled with hope and peace as we do so.
My friends, God’s timing is best. Be patient and trust Him - He will never fail you!
