🌷 He is Risen! A Special Easter Message for Our Children’s Ministry đźŚ·
Happy Easter to all the children and families in our ministry!
Today, we celebrate the most amazing story ever told—the story of Jesus’ love for us, His sacrifice on the cross, and His glorious resurrection! Easter reminds us that no matter how dark things may seem, God’s love brings us hope, joy, and new life.
Just like the spring flowers bloom after a long winter, Jesus rose from the grave, showing us that His love is stronger than anything—even death! This is a time to celebrate, rejoice, and remember that we are forever loved by a God who gives us the gift of eternal life.
To all the children:
  • You are loved beyond measure.
  • You are the reason Jesus came to Earth—to bring you closer to God.
  • And because of Easter, you can have hope, even when things seem hard, because Jesus is alive!
May this Easter be a time of laughter, joy, and celebration with your families. Let’s celebrate the amazing love of Jesus by sharing kindness, loving one another, and spreading the joy of His resurrection!
🌸 He is not here; He has risen, just as He said! â€“ Matthew 28:6 đźŚ¸
Have a blessed Easter filled with love, hope, and the everlasting joy of Jesus!
With love,
Reverend Danny Rhoades

    • Include a short scripture or moral to read aloud with the child.

  • Prayer Jar Activity

    • Help kids create a "Prayer Jar" where they write or draw pictures of things they are thankful for or people they want to pray for. They can decorate the jar with stickers, ribbons, or drawings.

  • Jesus Loves Me Hopscotch

    • Create a hopscotch game with each square containing a short scripture verse, word of encouragement, or symbol like a star or cross. Kids can jump, land on a square, and recite the verses.

  • Nature Walk and Creation Scavenger Hunt

    • Go on a simple nature walk and provide a checklist for things God created (e.g., birds, flowers, clouds). Emphasize Genesis 1:1: "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."

  • Action Song Time

    • Teach engaging Bible-based action songs like "This Little Light of Mine" or "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands." Include hand motions or props to make it interactive.

Age Group 8-9

  • Bible Verse Memory Challenge

    • Create a game or chart to help kids memorize short Bible verses. Reward progress with stickers or small prizes. Examples: John 3:16 or Isaiah 41:10.

  • Parable Puppet Show

    • Encourage kids to retell parables, like the Good Samaritan or the Lost Sheep, using homemade puppets or toys. Parents can help by narrating the story!

  • Build a Prayer Board

    • Create a personalized prayer board with sticky notes or index cards. Kids can write their prayers and watch how God answers them over time.

  • DIY Faith Bracelet

    • Use colored beads to represent parts of faith:

      • Black = Sin

      • Red = Jesus' Sacrifice

      • White = Forgiveness

      • Green = Growth

      • Gold = Heaven

    • Explain the meanings as they create the bracelet.

  • Bible-Themed Escape Room

    • Set up a fun puzzle or scavenger hunt with clues based on Bible stories (e.g., solving clues to escape the lion’s den like Daniel).

Age Group 10-11

  • Bible Trivia Game Night

    • Create a trivia game with categories like "Old Testament Heroes," "Famous Miracles," or "Name That Verse." Parents and kids can play together as a team.

  • Service Project Ideas

    • Encourage acts of kindness like making care packages for the elderly or writing encouraging notes for church members. Add an emphasis on Jesus' teaching in Matthew 25:40: "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."

  • Scripture Journaling

    • Teach kids how to write scriptures in a journal. They can add drawings, prayers, or reflections on the verse.

  • Faith-Based Science or Craft Projects

    • Explore God's creation through science: create a mini volcano to talk about God's power or plant seeds to discuss faith (Matthew 17:20). Crafts like making a cross or painting rocks with inspirational messages are also great options.

  • Bible Timeline Puzzle

    • Provide a printable timeline of major biblical events and let kids put them in order. Challenge them to connect their favorite stories to the timeline.

These activities are meant to be fun, faith-filled, and family-oriented, offering opportunities for children to grow spiritually while staying engaged. You can also provide downloadable materials, like printable worksheets or guides, to enhance the experience for parents/guardians visiting your website.

The Bible Story of Easter: The Crispification of Christ
As Told by Jimmy R, a 7-Year-Old Boy

Okay, so, Easter is about Jesus, and it’s like the best story ever, but also kinda sad at first. See, Jesus is God’s Son, and He came to save us because He loves us soooo much. But not everyone liked Him. Some mean guys didn’t like that Jesus was saying He was God’s Son and doing miracles. They got super mad and decided to, um, kill Him. (I know, it’s really bad, right?)

So, they put a crown of thorns on His head—like, ouch!—and they did a lot of mean stuff to Him. Then they nailed Him to a cross, and He died. That’s the sad part. My Sunday school teacher says Jesus died for our sins, which means when we mess up, He forgives us because He loves us like a lot—a LOT a lot.

But the story doesn’t stop there, and this is the AWESOME part! After three days, Jesus came back to life! Like, He wasn’t dead anymore! He just walked out of the tomb like, “Hey, I’m back!” Everyone was so happy because it meant He beat death and sin forever.

So, yeah, Easter is about how Jesus loves us so much He died for us, but then He came back to life because He’s, like, the ultimate superhero. And now we can be with Him forever if we believe in Him! Isn’t that the coolest?

That’s why we celebrate Easter with candy and eggs and fun stuff—because it’s a happy, happy day! Jesus is alive!

The end.

Philippians 4:6-7 "Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

Gingerbread Man & Pinocchio - Fairy Tales For Kids

OkiDokiDo English

The Gingerbread Man (also known as The Gingerbread Boy) is a folktale about a gingerbread man's escape from various pursuers and his eventual demise between the jaws of a fox. "The Gingerbread Boy "first appeared in print in the May, 1875, issue of St. Nicholas Magazine in a cumulative tale which, like "The Little Red Hen", depends on repetitious scenes featuring an ever-growing cast of characters for its effect. According to the reteller of the tale, "A girl from Maine told it to my children. It interested them so much that I thought it worth preserving. I asked where she found it and she said an old lady told it to her in her childhood."

Fairy Tales and Stories for Kids

There is a father and two daughters, one of them diligent and the other one lazy, lived together in a land far away. One day, the father decided to ask them to find a job. After that, sisters went to find a job in turn.
