I. Sacred Scripture

We affirm that the Bible is a sacred collection of inspired writings, revealing divine wisdom, love, and justice. It serves as a guide for spiritual growth, ethical living, and communal discernment. We also honor the wisdom found in other sacred texts and traditions that reflect God’s presence across cultures and time.

II. The Nature of God

We believe in one divine presence—Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer—known through many names and expressions. God is love, mystery, and relationship, revealed through Jesus Christ and experienced through the Spirit in diverse ways.

III. Humanity and Divine Image

We affirm that every person is created in the image of God, inherently worthy of dignity, love, and purpose. Though we wrestle with brokenness, we are called to healing, transformation, and justice.

IV. Grace and Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of grace, not earned but received through faith, compassion, and the pursuit of justice. It is both personal and communal—a journey toward wholeness, reconciliation, and divine purpose.

V. Faith and Practice

We believe the scriptures teach that the great Gospel blessing which Christ secures to such as believe in Him is justification; that justification includes his pardon of sin, and the promise of eternal life on the principals of righteousness; that it is bestowed not in consideration of any works of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemer’s blood; by virtue of which faith His perfect righteousness is freely imputed to us of God; that it brings us into a state of most blessed peace and favor with God, and secures every other blessing needful for time and eternity.

VI. Community and Church

We believe the church is a living community of seekers, believers, and bridge-builders. It is called to radical hospitality, prophetic witness, and shared spiritual growth. Leadership is rooted in service, wisdom, and accountability.

VII. Justice and Compassion

We affirm that faith must be lived out through justice, mercy, and love. We stand with the marginalized, challenge systems of oppression, and work toward equity and peace in all areas of life.

VIII. Interfaith Fellowship

We celebrate the sacred in all traditions that seek truth, compassion, and peace. We engage in interfaith dialogue with humility and respect, believing that God’s love transcends boundaries.

IX. The Role of Scripture and Reason

We believe that scripture, tradition, reason, and experience all contribute to spiritual understanding. We encourage thoughtful interpretation, honest questioning, and lifelong learning.

X. The Journey of Transformation

We affirm that spiritual growth is ongoing. Through grace, community, and reflection, we are continually transformed into agents of love, healing, and hope.

XI. Sabbath and Sacred Time

We honor rhythms of rest, reflection, and renewal. Whether through traditional Sabbath observance or personal spiritual practice, we create space to reconnect with God and one another.

XII. Civil Engagement

We believe in responsible citizenship rooted in faith. We honor civil authority when it promotes justice and the common good, and we resist injustice with courage and conviction.

XIII. Life, Death, and the World to Come

We affirm that life is sacred, death is a transition, and the world to come is held in God’s love. We trust in divine restoration, eternal hope, and the promise of new creation.

XIV. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe the scriptures teach that Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer, into the name of the Father, and Son, and Holy Ghost; to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem, our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, with its effect, in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life; that it prerequisite to the privileges of a church relation; and to the Lord’s Supper, in which the members of the church, by the sacred use of bread and wine, are to commemorate together the dying love of Christ; preceded always by solemn self-examination.
